CashCrate One of the Best Work from Home Companies

I have investigated many different online work from home companies over the years, but so far CashCrate has been one of the best.  For this reason, I will devote the next several posts to telling you how to best utilize this great program.  What follows in this post is a useful Q&A for anyone interested in participating.

So, What is Cashcrate?

CashCrate is a free website that allows members to earn extra money online by doing simple things like participating in surveys, trying products, and registering at free websites. The site is open to users from any country provided they are at least 13 years of age.  It’s a great site for students, homemakers or anyone else who wants to make extra money online.

Is this program legitimate?

Yes!  As I said, I have researched many sites in an effort to make money online. Unlike many other services you may have come across, CashCrate is not one of those sites that make outrageous claims about earnings. You are not going to make millions, but if you make an honest effort, you can earn money with this service.

What’s the Real Earning Potential?

The answer to this varies based on several factors. For example, your age and location do play a role. Although the site is open to those who are 13 and over, many of the available offers have a minimum age requirement of 18. Some offers also require that the participant be a US resident. That being said, you can still make significant money even if you are a younger user, or you live outside the US. Members who fall into these categories can still complete some offers, and they are fully eligible for the CashCrate referral program.

Can you explain the referral program?

This is fairly simple. CashCrate has a two level referral program that you can use to make more money be referring friends to sign up for the service. Upon signing up for CashCrate you will be given a special referral link. When someone clicks on your link to sign up for the site, you will earn 20% of everything they earn from completing offers. In addition, you will also earn 10% of everything your referrals referrals earn from offers they complete. As an added bonus, you will get $3 every time a new first level referral earns their first $10 on the site!  I will discuss referral programs in more detail in a future post, as aligning yourself with some reputable work from home companies with such programs can be a great way to make money.

What is the Payment Method?

Payments are made by check on a monthly basis provided that you meet the minimum payout of $20. If you do not meet this amount, your earnings simply carry over to the next month.

How do I complete CashCrate Offers?

In an effort to help you get the most from this service, the next post will offer some tips and instruction for using CashCrate that should help you start bringing in money.  You can now view that post here.

Work from Home Companies for Crafters

Posted on August 2, 2009
Filed Under work from home companies | Leave a Comment

Many people would like to work at home but may not do so because they are not into computer based jobs.  Maybe they have a keen interest in working with their hands on some sort of craft project, and would be interested in work from home companies that would allow them to do this.  If you fit this profile, then I think you’ll enjoy this post.

What I have for you today is an opportunity from a Christian company that will allow you to work at home by making and selling their popular jewelry.  Specifically, they teach you how to make handmade cross necklaces that you can sell for whatever price you choose.  The necklaces are easily put together with a limited amount of supplies, all of which can be purchased from the company that patented the jewelry design.  You can buy materials in small quantities, and you will be given a detailed DVD showing you exactly how to produce your products when you sign up.

The design has a clever meaning behind it which is described on the product tags that you will receive with your supply kits.  Disciple’s Cross, the company behind the jewelry design allows you to sell the items you make in any way you wish, and allows you to keep 100% of your profits.  They make all their money by selling supply kits, and the finished jewelry itself.

The company does have a buyback program where they will pay you a set amount for jewelry that you produce, provided it meets their quality standards.  That being g said, I cannot recommend use of the buyback program at this time.  According to many crafters working for Disciple’s Cross, the company simply has too many members sending them products, and they have become very picky about purchasing items from producers.

If you want to make money with this program, follow the other successful producers of this product, and find ways to sell it yourself.  If you want to learn a bit more about the Disciple’s Cross Christian jewelry design, check out their site here.  In future, posts I will bring you a number of methods that you can use to sell handmade products from home.  I will also try to bring you more information about more work from home companies that would be of interest to crafters.  Thanks for stopping by, and please return to this site soon for more interesting money making ideas.

A Great Case for Using Video in your Work from Home Efforts

Posted on August 1, 2009
Filed Under work from home companies | Leave a Comment

Previously, I told you that due to their huge popularity, streaming video sites would be a great platform to promote the work from home companies that you partner with, or the products that you sell in your own business.  Today, I want to present a tremendous success story that should give you an idea just how powerful streaming video can be.

I won’t go into all the details here, but the story involves guitarist Dave Carroll and a troubling experience he had a few years ago with United Airlines.  Carroll recently told the story of how his guitar was damaged due to improper handling by United’s baggage personnel.  Carroll and his band created a comedic music video about the plight, and posted this video to You Tube.

To say that the response to this video has been huge would be an understatement.  The video made it onto the front page of You Tube shortly after its creation on July 6.  It has been viewed by more than 4.5 million You Tube users, and rated by over 30,000 of them.

I have seen this video pop up on many other websites since its release.  Many articles have been written about it, and it has even prompted a response from both United Airlines and Taylor Guitars (the manufacturer of Carroll’s damaged guitar).  Carroll has said that he plans to create a number of other music videos about his damaged instrument.  It is likely that these will enjoy a wide audience as well.  You can check out a more detailed post about Carroll’s story, and find links to his popular video here.

So, why am a telling you about a music video on this kind of blog?  The answer is simple.  The work clearly demonstrates the viral power that You Tube and similar sites can offer when you produce a quality video.  If you can produce videos that will get people talking about the work from home companies you endorse, or the kinds of products you have to offer, then there is great potential to increase you exposure, and your earnings through streaming media.

I hope this post has done a bit more to convince you of the power behind streaming video, and how you can leverage that power for potential profit.  Until next time, I want to wish you the best of luck with your online earning!

Give Your Work from Home Business a Professional Look

Whether you are going to become an affiliate for one of the many work from home companies on the internet, or you’re planning to sell your own products online, you will want to present a professional image to your customers.  Today, I want to talk about behaving professionally in the online communities that you will be joining as you try to make money.

These communities could include places like online forums, blogging environments,, social media sites and so on.  What follows are some guidelines that will help you promote your product or service responsibly online, thereby giving you a better chance of making money from home.

Give back to the community: If you are in an online community such as a forum where you will be interacting with others, it may be fine to promote your business, but you should also contribute something to the group.  Rather than simply dropping in on a discussion and heading straight to your sales pitch, actually try to join in the conversations that are going on.  Share your knowledge and opinions, and be considerate of others.  If you do this, people will be more responsive to your sales efforts down the line.  You will be seen as a credible member of the community, and not just a spammer.

Observe the rules: This is of the utmost importance within online communities.  You should always read the terms of service for any site where you plan to promote your business.  Some sites simply don’t allow for any kind of promotion that results in commercial gain.  If you encounter one of these sites do not try to break the rules.  If you do, you will quickly get yourself banned from the community.  If you are selling another company’s product, you may even get into trouble with them if you are reported for spamming.  Even if a community does allow for some advertising, only share sales information, links and the like in areas of the  community where they are welcome.

Don’t advertise in unrelated communities: If you are selling sports equipment, only try to promote your items on sites that talk about sports.  Joining unrelated communities with the sole purpose of making sales will get you labeled as a spammer.  Also, trying to sell in such places won’t make you much money, as community members are far less likely to purchase what you are offering.  It is also bad practice to misuse the social media sites.  Don’t try to get thousands of Twitter followers just to give them your sales pitch.  This is not the proper way to use such sites, and once again, it won’t make you much money.

I hope these tips are helpful to you whether you choose to join affiliate based work from home companies, or sell your own products online.  Please share this post with others if it has been helpful to you, and please come back again soon.

Creating your Own Work from Home Business with Video Products

Posted on July 24, 2009
Filed Under Uncategorized, how to sell products | Leave a Comment

I recently wrote a post detailing how you could make some money online using a streaming video service.  I wanted to write another quick post because I really can’t overstate the power of video in the online money making process.  I spoke to you about the popularity of You Tube in my other post, but as I said, things don’t end there.

I wanted to write a brief introductory post today about another way to make money with video.  I want to tell you how you can make money by selling a video product.  What exactly is a video product?  Well, it is a collection of videos that is of commercial interest to others because it teaches them how to create or use something.

Maybe you are passionate about photography.  You could do a set of videos that shows someone how to choose the right camera for their needs, how to take the best action shots, or how to do some editing with the latest photography software.  Maybe you are a web designer who would be interested in creating a video product that shows people how to build their own site.  Anything is possible.

Once you have created your video product, you could sell it on a website that you create, or even burn the videos to a DVD and distribute it to your customers through the mail.  You could potentially earn a lot of money because you will be able to keep all the profits you make from this kind of venture.  The product will belong to you, and you will be selling it on your own for the price you think it is worth.

To get you started I have a few basic tips for now.  First, you need to keep quality in mind.  Make sure that you have a good webcam or digital video camera to do your work with.  Also make sure that you have the proper microphone as there is nothing worse than a video with poor sound quality.  Please also be sure that your video series follows a logical order and that each video is easily digestible.  You want to break the videos up into chunks that each cover a specific facet of the subject you are trying to teach.

I hope this post will help you to get started making some money with video.  In the future, I will offer more posts on working with video, and on how you can use it to make money from home.  I hope you have enjoyed this quick introduction to video products.  Please join me back here again soon, or subscribe to the blog’s RSS feed to learn more about work at home opportunities on the internet.

Work from Home Selling Your Photos

Posted on July 23, 2009
Filed Under how to sell products, work from home companies | Leave a Comment

Are you someone who has your digital camera with you wherever you go?  Do you get a lot of comments about your pictures from friends or from viewers on a photo sharing website?  If this sounds like you, then I think you will enjoy the work at home idea I have for you today.

I want to tell you about a website that will offer you money for allowing people to download the photos you take, and use them for commercial purposes.  The site is called Big Stock Photo, and I think it offers a good opportunity for passionate photographers looking to make extra money online.

How much can you make with this service?  According to the terms, they will generally pay you between $0.50 and $3.00 every time someone downloads one of your pictures.  They do offer a program that will pay you considerably more if you are willing to allow their clients to purchase your images for reprint on mugs, tee-shirts and the like.  When customers buy your work for these kinds of purposes, you can potentially make as much as $60 for each download.

Make sure you have a look at the site to see exactly what your rights are before sending in any of your work.  Keep in mind that they expect images to be sent to them in digital format (a number of popular file types are supported).  They also have some recommendations as to the kinds of images that tend to sell well on their site.  The service even offers a page listing photographs that they are in need of, and they show you some examples of what they consider to be high quality images.  Checking out all of this information should help you maximize your chances of earning money with the service.

With regard to payment, be advised that there are minimum account balances that must be reached before you can receive your money.  You can request payment through PayPal once you have earned at least $30.  If you prefer, they are also willing to pay by check if you have earned a minimum of $50.

If you’re already a photography enthusiast, Big Stock Photo could be a great way for you to work from home doing what you enjoy.  Please feel free to comment here about your experiences with the service, and please join me back here next time for another money making idea.
