Previously, I told you that due to their huge popularity, streaming video sites would be a great platform to promote the work from home companies that you partner with, or the products that you sell in your own business. Today, I want to present a tremendous success story that should give you an idea just how powerful streaming video can be.
I won’t go into all the details here, but the story involves guitarist Dave Carroll and a troubling experience he had a few years ago with United Airlines. Carroll recently told the story of how his guitar was damaged due to improper handling by United’s baggage personnel. Carroll and his band created a comedic music video about the plight, and posted this video to You Tube.
To say that the response to this video has been huge would be an understatement. The video made it onto the front page of You Tube shortly after its creation on July 6. It has been viewed by more than 4.5 million You Tube users, and rated by over 30,000 of them.
I have seen this video pop up on many other websites since its release. Many articles have been written about it, and it has even prompted a response from both United Airlines and Taylor Guitars (the manufacturer of Carroll’s damaged guitar). Carroll has said that he plans to create a number of other music videos about his damaged instrument. It is likely that these will enjoy a wide audience as well. You can check out a more detailed post about Carroll’s story, and find links to his popular video here.
So, why am a telling you about a music video on this kind of blog? The answer is simple. The work clearly demonstrates the viral power that You Tube and similar sites can offer when you produce a quality video. If you can produce videos that will get people talking about the work from home companies you endorse, or the kinds of products you have to offer, then there is great potential to increase you exposure, and your earnings through streaming media.
I hope this post has done a bit more to convince you of the power behind streaming video, and how you can leverage that power for potential profit. Until next time, I want to wish you the best of luck with your online earning!
