Work from Home with Video Production

If you’ve been spending any amount of time on the internet in the last few years, I’m sure you have become aware of the fact that streaming video sites are extremely popular.  In fact, You Tube has become some of the most popular destinations on the internet, with many users visiting there on a daily basis.  You can find everything from how to videos, to movie previews to comedic pieces on the site.

What you may not be aware of is the fact that the success of You Tube prompted the creation of dozens of other video sites throughout the internet.  I want to tell you about one such video sharing service today.  The site is called Revver, and it’s got a unique quality.  What makes Revver special is that you can actually make money with the videos that you upload to their service.

The way you do this is fairly simple.  When you upload a video to Revver, an ad with a piece of tracking code is automatically inserted by the site.  When people watch your videos, any money that is generated from them through the ad is split 50/50 between you and Revver.  This is great, but a look at Revver’s site will reveal something even better.  Since the ad and tracking code are embedded within the actual video, they stay there no matter where the video goes.  This means that if someone puts one of your videos on their website, or shares it in any way on the internet you will only earn more money.  If the embedded ad results in revenue from any place on the net, you still get your 50%.

If you want to make money from home using Revver, I suggest that you do some videos about something that you have special knowledge of.  Do you play the guitar?  How about doing a video series with some guitar lessons?  Are you a great cook?  Maybe you could put together some content showing others how to make your favorite recipes.  You can do videos about anything, and you can make money with all of them.

There are a few things to be aware of if you are going to use Revver.  Videos aee limited to 100MB, so keep an eye on file size.  Do not upload anything that violate copyright or other laws, and do not upload any kind of pornographic content.  A variety of file formats are supported on the site, and you can tag you video with words that describe it’s content.  Tags will make your video easier for others to find in search, and thereby increase your chances of earning money.

I hope you have enjoyed this work from home opportunity that slows you to make money by being creative with your video.  If you like this post, please share it with others, and please join me back here soon for another internet money making strategy.

Will Work from Home Become the Norm as Companies Enact Green Policies?

In a previous post, I talked about the fact the companies are transforming in some ways into work from home companies, I explained that many organizations where having employees perform jobs from the home as a cost cutting measure. Today, I wanted to bring you a bit of news that I think proves the trend of at home employment will become more pronounced as time goes by.

Recently, I read an article detailing how the Governor of Virginia gave his support for a day dedicated to teleworking. According to this article, the State of Virginia is trying to encourage organizations to embrace the concept of work at home as a way of reducing the stressors on the environment caused by a commuting workforce.

I was pleased and not at all surprised to find this article. With the state of the world’s economies being shaky, at present, and the interest in environmentally friendly vehicles increasing daily, it is nice to see both government and big business taking some steps to influence the environment in a positive way. I think most would agree that any restructuring of business having a positive financial impact is also a welcome occurrence.

The article goes on to say, that participating in these kinds of work at home trials offers companies a chance to test whether or not they can perform business functions well outside of a workplace environment. I believe that taking part in such programs will reduce hesitation in organizations with regard to taking on a less traditional business model. If companies see favorable results from such telework tryouts, it stands to reason that they might be willing to make work from home a more permanent part of their business model. To read the full article about Virginias move toward telework, please check out this blog post.

I hope you enjoyed this article, and that you will come back here soon to learn more about the best work from home money making opportunities.

Using Refstop to Get Products to Sell

As I said in my previous post, the first step in learning how to sell products online is finding merchandise people will want to buy.  I told you about a great way to get free test products that you could sell to check the profitability of a particular market.  As you may recall, I also said that in order to get these free items, you would need to refer some friends to the sites that offer them.

The trouble is that many people just do not believe that these websites will actually deliver the free products they promise, and decide that it is not worth it to try them out. The easiest way to get referrals in this case is to use a service like Refstop.  Refstop is a referral trading service that will, for a small fee (of $6), allow you to trade referrals with other members.  It works like this:   Member A is looking for referrals to get a free mp3 player.  He goes to member B who is working on getting a free Iphone.  Since member B has not yet signed up for the mp3 player site, he agrees to be a referral for member A if A will in turn sign up under him at the Iphone site.

Refstop has plenty of members at many different free product sites.  It is very well organized, and trades generally run smoothly.  There is even an option to offer a small cash payment for referrals if you don’t want to bother with trades.  If you should have any problems with the service they have written up a guide for using the site, and also maintain an active forum where you can communicate with both Refstop administrators and other members.  To top it off, there is a free trial that allows you to see how the whole system works before you pay the membership fee.  In my opinion, Refstop is well worth its nominal $6 fee.  It is by far the best option you have if you encounter problems getting the referrals you need in order to receive free products.

If you want to work at home by learning how to sell products online, Refstop is a great tool to help you get some merchandise so that you can start earning.  I hope you have enjoyed this post, and I look forward to welcoming you back to the blog again soon.

Finding the Right Merchandise: The First Step in Learning How to Sell Products Online

Posted on July 14, 2009

Aside from joining an affiliate program, one of the other profitable ways to make extra money online is by learning how to sell products.  I will be showing you a number of methods for actually making sales on your own website, or on sites like Ebay, in future posts.  However, the first thing you need to do is find out what to sell.

You probably already have some ideas about this.  Maybe you have an offline business, and are familiar with the best selling products in your niche.  Maybe you have simply been following news or television ads about the latest hot product.  In either case, once you have a product in mind that you think you could profit from, you will undoubtedly begin to look at ways of getting a few test products at a low cost to see how well the item actually sells.  The aim of this post is to show you a creative way of getting very low cost or even free sample products that you may not have thought of before.

Before going into exactly how to do this, I have a brief back story that describes how I discovered this method.  A few years ago, I wanted to purchase an Ipod as a gift, but at the time the $300-$400 price was a bit over my budget.  I looked all over the internet, but I simply couldn’t find a great deal for the product.  Eventually, my search led me to a site that promised a free IPod.  Naturally, I was skeptical of the offer, so I checked around to see what others said about the site.  To my surprise, the reviews were good, and since the site was free to join anyway, I signed up.

After reading the site’s terms carefully, I found that in order to get my free product, I would need to complete a sponsored offer, and get a few friends to do the same.  The offer I selected was a trial of the Blockbuster Online service.  The trial was free, and I was credited for the offer quickly.  I then got a few friends to do similar offers, and before long I had earned the free Ipod.  The company who awarded it to me even covered my shipping charges.  If you follow this approach, you may incur a small shipping fee of perhaps $5-$10 for your free trial item, but that is it!  In the end, you will have earned a big ticket item that you can sell on eBay or any other site.

If your test product sells well, you can look into partnering with a wholesaler to buy a larger quantity of merchandise.  You can get many kinds of high value items that are hot in stores right now using this method.  For a small sample of the items available check out the Freepay Network.  In my next post, I will show you how you can get free products, even if you can’t find friends to sign up as referrals.  I hope you come back soon for more information about how to sell products online as a means of earning a work from home income.

Traditional Organizations Become Work from Home Companies

Posted on July 11, 2009
Filed Under work from home companies | Leave a Comment

In this ever changing economy, organizations that once conducted most of their day to day tasks in-house are now becoming partial work from home companies.  By that I mean, they are hiring out a lot of task that might have traditionally been performed by an administrative assistant within the workplace to virtual workers.

Why do companies want to hire people to do what use to be office work from their own homes?  There are several answers to this question.  Firstly, seeking out workers on the web allows companies to search within a huge pool of skills and abilities.  If they are doing a project that requires a certain kind of specialized knowledge, it is easier to go out and find an expert online than to invest a lot of time in training.  It is also much cheaper for the organization in many cases.

Why would you want to be this type of online worker?  I came across an interesting article today that highlighted some of the benefits of being a virtual employee.  The article mentioned the fact that the jobs you are hired for are typically one off assignments.  You are essentially going from company to company, and working on any number of different projects.  This would be of great appeal to those who are tired of doing the same thing, and working in traditional office environments.  This kind of employment can earn you a good income as well.  The article went on to say that with experience, some assignments can bring compensation of up to $60 per hour.  If you think this kind of job might be for you, I encourage you to check out the rest of the article I mentioned here

Although some people prefer the traditional job, I can easily see how those who are looking for a more flexible work schedule, and more varied assignments, that they can do from the comfort of their own home, would find these positions very attractive.  We will talk more about the growing trend of outsourcing many office tasks to online workers in later posts.  Bookmark this blog and come back often for more news about work from home companies that will help you accomplish your goal of making money online.
